Gospel Communities are how Worthy Redeemer Church cultivates true friendship with our neighbors and – within the bounds of these relational networks – how our church lives out the “one-anothers’ of the New Testament. Gospel Communities exist so that people don’t have to do life alone. We aim for these environments to be a place where strangers become friends as people begin sharing real life. If Sunday Gatherings are the doorway into church life, then Gospel Communities are the living room
The aim of every Gospel Community gathering is for:
- Christian fellowship through the sharing of our stories and encouragement from the Word.
- A Meal Together.
- The support of one another through prayer.
"Eccl: 4:12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
A Cord is a discipleship group that usually consists of three people—men with men, women with women, who meet together regularly to be known and to bring the gospel to bear on each other’s lives in order to grow in and live out their walk with Christ. Cords are not about self improvement, but God’s unending grace to transform us through the gospel–Jesus’ perfect life, death, resurrection, and ascension.

One of our core Christian identities is that of a missionary. Missional Living is intentionally orienting your life to make Jesus known where you live, work, learn and recreate. Missional living is about bringing other disciples of Jesus with you as you share the good news with each other and with not yet believers. Jesus will give you opportunities to boast in His cross.
