DR. CARL ELLIS JR.
The Developmental History of the African American Church
In 1969, Carl Ellis began his ministry as a Senior Campus Minister with the Tom Skinner Associates in New York. From 1979 to 1989, Carl served as the Assistant Pastor of Forest Park Community Church in Baltimore, MD, served on faculty at Chesapeake Theological Seminary, and as a seminar instructor for Prison Fellowship where he developed and taught “in-prison” and “in-community” seminars for inmates and community volunteers. Between 1986 and 2009, Carl served as an adjunct faculty member at the Center for Urban Theological Studies (C.U.T.S.), and as Dean of Intercultural Studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2015, Dr. Ellis was appointed Senior Research Fellow with Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). He is also the Associate Pastor for Cultural Apologetics at New City Fellowship, and serves on numerous boards and as a consultant on cultural matters.

DR. KAREN ELLIS
Endurance Principles of the African-led Moravians
K.A. Ellis is a pioneer in the emerging field of Christian Endurance Studies, which includes theologies of martyrdom, persecution, endurance, suffering, stealth, risk, and joy. As a theological ethicist whose areas of interest include World Christianity, she has spoken and written frequently on Christian endurance in the face of cultural pressure, indifference, and hostility.
Dr. Ellis teaches and disciples young people at her local church on Bible and Global Christianity, and is the Director of the Edmiston Center for Christian Endurance Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a doctorate from The Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, her M.A.R. in systematic theology from Westminster Seminary (Philadelphia), and is the Robert Cannada Fellow in World Christianity at Reformed Theological Seminary.

Joel McCarty is first and foremost someone who has been captured by the beauty and goodness of Jesus and His Kingdom. He and his wife, Kristy, have four children together - KJ, Everleigh, Scarlett, and Madi Wren. He has served as the Pastor for Preaching at New Eden Church in Decatur, Alabama since its founding in 2020. When the gospel took root in his own life as a young adult, he became passionate about the gospel being made known among all peoples, truly believing this “good news” has the power to transform individuals, communities, and the entire world. To this end, New Eden Church has had the joy and privilege of sending out many from their midst to plant churches among people groups who currently have no access to the gospel.

REV. DAMON RICHARDSON

Damon Richardson is an ordained Baptist minister who has served over the past 36 years in various ministry roles including senior pastor and teaching pastor. Damon currently preaches itinerantly and is the founder of UrbanLogia, an online theological and apologetics resource which specializes in the field of urban apologetics. Rev. Richardson has a passion for helping to equip ministers, church leaders and all believers biblically, theologically and apologetically. He is an adjunct professor at Foster College and Meachum School of Haymanot Damon holds an M.A. in Religious Studies and is a PhD candidate at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA, where he resides with his wife Nadine and the younger two of their four children.

ALEXANDER WADE
The Conversion of Negus Ezana
Alexander Wade serves as the Lead Teaching Pastor of Worthy Redeemer Church in North Huntsville, Alabama. Wade’s passion for Christ and His Church was ignited in 2005 when he came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Since then, he has dedicated his life to studying and proclaiming the gospel, with a special love for Scripture and Church history. He and his wife, Alyssa, are raising four wonderful children—Harrison, Samson, Penelope, and Canaan. He recently acquired his Masters in Historical Theology at Reformed Baptist Seminary.
